A first outreach note works better when the other person can immediately see what would change for them. Try this adaptable opener, then build from the same principle.
The specific-result opener
Copy, adapt, and keep it human.
Hi [Name] — I noticed [specific thing]. I help [type of person] turn [starting point] into [clear result]. I put together one small idea for [their context]: [one-sentence suggestion]. If it would be useful, I can send over the outline—no pressure.
Replace every bracket with something you genuinely observed. If you cannot name the specific result, the offer is probably still too broad.
Why it works
01
It starts with them. A relevant observation earns more attention than a generic introduction.
02
It names a result. People can respond to a visible change, not an abstract list of skills.
03
It leaves room to say no. A small next step is more respectful—and easier to answer.
